    I put it on my skin and it protects me from the sun when I go swimming and I swim a lot. I use it in cooking and use it as my face cream and hair conditioner…love it!

    Don't swallow the oil!

    Bad bacteria gets trapped in the oil. When you spit out the oil the bad bacteria goes with it. Bleeding gums transfers bad bacteria into the blood stream which causes inflammation.

    Inflammation is the cause of:
    — Diabetes
    — Heart Disease
    — Arthritis

    People do not understand the theory behind oil pulling. OIL PULLING TRAPS BACTERIA IN THE OIL ITSELF. It is a trap. Nothing more. It is a beneficial trap. Use it to improve the health of your mouth and in return, the health of your body. Nothing more.

    I like to use coconut oil to fry steak on a hot cast iron pan ..Coconut oil has a high temperature smoking point up to 400 degrees or more. It gives the meat a nice flavour

    There's a recent article circulating on Facebook these days about coconut oil being the devil. I don't believe it. The article actually said it's worse for you than bacon. Well, I am vegan so I ain't touching no bacon. Even my coworker came and told me about this article on Facebook people are passing around. I said I rarely cook with any oil, but I use coconut oil on my face, hair, and body. I also use it for oil pulling and for my cat, as well as an underarm deodorant. Yes. sometimes, I drink hot water with a spoon of coconut oil.

    2017 now and we are being lied to I recently discovered by the AHA because they are paid millions from companies that want coconut oil vilified. They are paid also from some of the meat industry now and are outright lying .

    Cholesterol
    has nothing to do with heart disease. Coconut in natural form and use
    does not cause cancer!!! Here's a news flash for you…nothing concocted
    in a laboratory can ever replace the value of what is found in nature!
    Back when we had better living through chemistry and it was the
    beginning of the very military-industrial complex being established
    against the advice of IKE (President Eisenhower and Supreme Allied
    Commander during World War 2), but before the "War On Cancer" began in
    earnest with congressional approval and congress providing funding,
    establishment medicine in conjunction with the AMA declared cholesterol
    as the cause of heart disease. Hence, the war on cholesterol to conquer
    Heart Disease. They began by demonizing animal fats & oils making
    vegetable oil the "healthy choice" ~the heart healthy choice. Big
    Medicine, known as the "sick care industry", set out to narrow our
    choices for which vegetable oils we should use. Since the Board of
    Directors of the AMA was amply populated with members invested heavily
    in the vegetable oil industry (how convenient) they chose vegetable
    oils (corn, soybean and rape oils) for which they would reap large
    returns from their investments and be rewarded $riches$ from the
    promotions of heart healthy dietary choices that avoided foods
    containing cholesterol but consumed large quantities of vegetable oils
    & fats. So the demonizing of foods containing oils & fats
    that added cholesterol to our diets began in earnest. Then because
    switching over our cooking and diets to vegetable oils & fats from
    animal oils & fats changed the way food was prepared, processed and
    stored. Manufacturers incorporated the "hydrogenation" method of
    processing the oils & fats that avoided cholesterol. Hydrogenated
    was one of the many, many better living through chemistry revolutionary
    new ways to use, cook and consume oils & fats. And was developed in
    laboratory testing and research. Now coconut oil — a saturated
    fat — is chock-full of health-promoting properties — and is in no way
    responsible for high cholesterol, obesity, heart disease, cancer and the
    bad effects we were led to believe. But because that all changed when
    World War 2 ended and the United States proclaimed hydrogenated oils to
    be the "healthier oils." Why was coconut oil & fat demonized?
    Coconut is a fruit. But later in the labatory coconut oil was labeled as
    carcinogenic ~cancer causing. Yet, health by the 1960s, based on a weak
    scientific theory (promoted by Big Medicine and Big Pharma) that
    claimed that saturated fats-like those found in butter, eggs, milk, red
    meat and coconuts — increased "bad" LDL cholesterol and were dangerous
    to consume got worse. Heart Disease multiplied. Cancer became the number
    2 killer dealt with by the sick care industry. Even though
    nothing was further from the truth! But this “health scare” was enough
    to push the public away from saturated fats toward, instead, to refined
    vegetable oils. This was perfect for food manufacturers because they
    were far cheaper to produce and foods using them maintained a longer
    storage life (shelf life). Well, it wasn’t long before Western-style
    diets made their way to the islands and the old ways were forgotten.
    Cheaper, mass-produced hydrogenated foods replaced traditional foods,
    like the versatile and all-healing coconut oil that had kept the
    islanders healthy for generations. And for the first time ever, diseases
    that had become prevalent among Americans… heart disease, diabetes,
    cancer and obesity started to plague the island nations. Is it
    any wonder our pets too, begin with all the failing health and develop
    the same diseases people get when they are given "people food" to eat?

    I am now at 64 years old and taking coconut oil 1tbs per day and still climbing coconut fruit with full energy.

    My grandfather lives 117 years using coconut extract in His whole life in His daily regime. Good stuff. I like it.
