    Hi Loren, great video, thank you. I've heard it said a few times that children eating raw vegan will require slightly more fat i.e higher calorie foods like avocados/nuts. I can understand that they may have a greater 'proportional' need for calories at an age when growing very quickly but I don't understand how this relates in nature (if you agree with the advice). In other words I don't see how a child who would have lived many years ago in the tropics would have had more….[continued]

    ……access to nuts/seeds/fatty fruits. Or is it that humans would have had plenty of access to fatty foods but the children would have chosen to eat more of them (similarly with individuals that had higher levels of activity). Sorry that my question seems a bit muddled, I hope you get the gist of what I am asking!

    …I suppose breast milk may be more fatty than fruits&veg but when is an approximate natural age for a child to stop breastfeeding? Would they still have a slightly greater need for fats?

    Excellent question and good points Oslam. I would suggest that children would likely Not have had access to so many concentrated fats after breastfeeding. And though most children won't entirely self-wean until three years or more, most children past 2 are relying on breastmilk for very little of their nutritional needs and more for comfort.

    I do Not believe that children would need more concentrated fats…all the fat a clean, well-functioning system needs is in every fruit and leafy green.

    Thanks for the advice Loren, its reassuring to hear that overt fats are not necessary in increased amounts for children and they can grow just fine without. I do sometimes wonder where these ideas/mis-info comes from! Anyway no children for me just yet 🙂

    I have no interest in supplements of any kind and do not consider food that which I would walk by without a second look if it were floating on top of a pond. I recommend and use no supplements, "super foods," or extracts Even Though 4 out of 5 leading Raw Gurus (who perhaps earn $ when you buy?) assure me that they're good for me.

    Get clean, eat whole food, end of story.

    Dear friend ,that is indeed a huge problem …the children …but as u said we make the problem ..if we teach them that this is healthy and that not …the same we teach them not to hit &steal so they will grow up with a certain knoledge ….a healthy one /it will spare them and the comunity later on a great health problem ….thank u !

    I always wonder how I would be now if I were to have grown up on purely healthy food. No lingering cravings, habits, etc. I would have been thankful, not deprived! I wouldn't have known any better. I hope to provide that for my kids one day.

    Is drinking hot water okay? I am a tea addict but that's mostly because I enjoy sipping on a hot drink. I need to know if water becomes harmful in high temperatures. Thanks. May Peace be onto you.
