I think Ulf Wakenius is a bad influence on her development as a Jazz artist. HIs stiff euro-flemenco lines are not good for her phrasing. She needs Herbie Hancock, Laurence Hobgood or great American horn players in here life. Her thumb piano is of better service to her art than is Ulf. I am sure Ulf will cling to her as a meal ticket, which is most sad. Youn, leave Europe and live in NY for at least 2-3 years. You need a "Jazz" education which can't be found any where else but here in the USA.

She is a genius. The people that she works with are geniuses. Everything about this is splendid. I think i could die happy tonight.

I respectfully disagree. Her scat in sync with precise guitar-lines and in harmony with the accordian player—precise— does not deserve to be dissed for your perceived lack of "good phrasing". I don't think it's the point in this particular tune, as well as Frevo to copy horns. I don't think she needs to come to the USA to obtain a "proper" jazz education; that's a conceit, and a very outmoded idea. There are a zillion good horn players in France, where she was "educated" and experienced.

One of the most utterly extraordinary performances — viserally enthralling — I have ever heard. What I would give to have been there and felt it in person.  Thank-you so much for recording and posting this.
